PLAY

Had the opportunity to play with this sweet family on the beach this week.  Big sis and her little Bro enjoyed finding shells....OK and eating the sand!!!

Miss Char asked if the picture lady could come take pictures of her at the park sometime...I took that as the sweetest compliment.

Little Man

OK..he is not so little BUT he is MY little guy.  Brady and I busted out an impromptu photo session (ala cookie for bribery).  It is sincerely nice to spend my afternoons with this kiddo.  He is such a sweetheart....and a goofball....but mostly a sweetheart!

Couldn't help but take this one....wish I could invent the freeze a kid.  sigh.

For Grandma

This sweet photo was taken of Bai this weekend.  I couldn't help but post it for all the family to see....especially the grandma who is sooooo smitten with this little one and that will be seeing her soon!

Park Time!!!

Another perfect evening for Picnic in the park....interpretation, mommy doesn't have to cook and instead orders pizza and cupcakes (mini ones:) and lets the kiddos run off all their energy before bedtime.  This is when I love living in FL!

Miss Thing

Sar has been a natural little model since I first met her years ago.  I was soo excited when her parents asked me to take some photos of her!  Despite the big dark clouds..and intermittent sprinkles we had a blast...trying on clothes and being all silly.....almost fell in a pond once-not sar but me!  Can't wait to do it all again.

Strawberry Pickin

Today was my daughter and son's first field trip EVER.....much more of a milestone for me than them...they were oblivious to its significance.  So we head out caravan-style.  I manage to NOT get lost-bonus:)  And fun was had by all!!   Great berries, beautiful weather--good times:)

Happy Valentines Day to everyone!!  My munchkins showered me with love today...AND LET ME TAKE THEIR PICTURES....some more willing than others hehe!!  Here's what my bunch looked like before school....and yes that is a lollipop in Bai's hand at 8am (sooo not my fault-daddy approved that one)

Angel

This little thing was truly angelic....even without the wings!  Sweet Bree is turning 3 this summer and her parents are looking for a magical image to have enlarged for her big celebration.....i fell in love with so many I can only imagine how difficult it will be for them to choose!  

50 years

I had the pleasure to meet a super nice individual who will be celebrating 50 years of Marriage this summer.  I look forward to documenting their day photographically....i.e. driving her and her family nuts by taking a zillion pictures!!!!  She had the most adorable little dogs..Max was constantly showing her some puppy love

Welcome to the world little man....Jonathan David is the 2nd boy amongst 5 girls!!!!  Though he made his appearance 4 weeks early, this little guy is healthy and getting adjusted to all the affection from his beautiful family.  Many more images to come:)

Sooo Much FUN

at the park tonight...love it when we head to the park to run off energy and everyone has a great time.  keeg crossed the monkey bars a zillion times (her latest skill), Brady climbed on everything, and Bai...well after throwing sand in a  little girls eyes and apologizing 12 times, Bai ended up lovin the slides.  i was able to soak up the fun they were having as well as photograph it!!  gotta love giggling and running around AND being able to take the camera:)  Of course we headed to Burger King to top it all off b/c what is a fun night without a little fast food badness?

Big Friend

Today is the day....my son heads off to a new room at school.  Yes-he is only 3...but he has been content in the Montessori room for 18mos.-3 year olds and today he goes to the "sailfish" room for 3-6 year old friends.  I love that Keeg said.."mom-you got to take his picture since this is his first day"  and that she filled him with reassurance this morning telling him" I was scared my first day in the big kid room but its fun...you get to do challenging work and there is a bird in your room and you'll like the boys and I will get to play with you on the playground.  We can play Lilo and Stitch!!"

I absolutely LOVE that those 2 are finally getting closer.  the 20 months between them seemed like a century but now I am seeing a glimmer of mutual friendship.  

Too cool that I got to capture Brady still content to be my sweet little boy ala thumb in mouth, holding his blankie.... and then he busts into "big Friend" mode full of smiles and read for what the adventure will bring!!!

  

Wonderful Weekend

Had just a great weekend with my kiddos...so many nice things happened this w/e.....I overheard my 3 y.o. son tell his older sister "Keeg, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen";  made my heart melt.  Especially b/c he said it so sincerely, so randomly, and without any intention of getting something from her in return (though she BEAMED and replied "you are the most handsome boy I have ever seen!!")  I had some great one-on-one time with my littlest while my sis took the "big kids" to play putt-putt.  Bai (20mos) is obsessed wit "boo-boo bear" ice packs and her baby dolls.  She could spend a good part of the afternoon telling me the baby is crying-running to it and ordering me to get it an ice pack from the fridge. Good times:)

Sweet thing

I got the pleasure of photographing the cutest little sweetheart today....who is incredibly addicted to sucking on her fingers!!!  Much of her mom's time was occupied with attempted removal of said fingers.  Lets just say mom lost!!!  But darn was she cute and sweet.  and even removed them for me on a few occasions so i could snap these gems (OK some have slobbery digits but don't you just love her???)

Love is in the air!!

hope and jonny are getting married in Key West this spring. had a great time shooting this super cool couple for their engagement session. their adventurous spirits were nearly contagious. they recently retired their Colorado snowboards and have taken up residence in our sunshine state. wanting to get more into surfing after the wedding (due to surf injury #1...) these two almost had me wanting to get on a board!!

happy 2008!!!

I have to say that 2007 was an incredible year but I anticipate 2008 to be exciting for me and my family as well. I have had the joy of celebrating the holidays surrounded by many of my immediate family (and thus little to no work has been accomplished for weeks!!). My grandfather (93 years young!!) joins us tomorrow for a long afternoon and family dinner. I am so fortunate to have such an awesome "poppy" as my children call him.

My kiddos were spoiled rotten by so many generous family members from near and far. They were so grateful for their new treasures that they even sat still for a photo for me (the BEST Christmas gift EVER)

so i hope the holidays were wonderful and 2008 treats you well.
