School Celebration

I really Love the School my children attend.

They do a great job on many levels but I think the

way they celebrate a child's birthday is kinda cool.

First, they welcome the siblings to take part.

then they give the child the earth and have him/her

walk around the sun (4 times since Bai turned 4)

The sun is represented by a candle and the months of the year

surround it as she walks.

They also have a fake cake and they light candles & sing.

Bai tried to blow them out 3 or 4 times so the teacher

asked if her siblings wanted to help her:)

The birthday child also gets to choose a friend to sit

with them and kids seriously campaign for this;

birthday friends start thinking about this months before....

Part 2

This part cracks me up.

Bai gets to pick a special friend to sit at the table with her.

NOTE all the kiddos seem excited about this EXCEPT

That would be the boy Keegan has a crush on...

that Bai tried to smootch on the playground...

Ummm this stuff is NOT supposed to happen yet!

So. Bai is being all goofy enjoying her snack.

Daddy took time off from work to attend this special

birthday celebration.

AND

Bailey chose this guy: aka boy barely raising his hand

Keegan talked Bailey into picking her crush...

so Keegan could sit next to him. What a sis:)

Splash!!!

Someone wanted a bath....sooo we

opted for a little baby pool time!!

Ummm...not quite.

My sis and I made these Adorable easter dresses for

our kiddos. WE were sooo stinkin proud that we actually

ended up with dresses resembling the original pattern

AND we enjoyed the process

(for the most part...lots of M&Ms helped:)

So.

We needed the much sought after photo of our clan

all matchey-matchey in their outfits..

So it started off OK....3 eager participants (i do not recall

the EXACT sugar treat used as bribery but I imagine it

was a good one)

Arms outstretched to be surrounded by the little ones.

THEN SO MANY THINGS went terribly wrong in such a short

period of time is became comical...

Bai realized that she didn't get to have one of the twins in

her lap. Pipe realized that sitting on the wood floor

looking at the camera was a negative 3 on the fun scale.

Ri realized he was SOoo NOT a fan of all this hoopla.

I realize all my light went behind a cloud. Brady

was no longer sure he was a fan of holding a fussy baby .

Thus,

this was the final result.

Ummmm...re-do?
